Dolphins Face Test Vs Colts
After a horrific 2007 season that saw the team nearly go winless, the Miami Dolphins came back with a tremendous 2008 season that shocked the football world. With Chad Pennington, a quarterback who had been written off and released by his previous team, the Dolphins threw together a winning campaign, won the division, made the playoffs, and shut the New England Patriots out of the post season. Things were looking great in Miami. The Fate of the 2009 New England Patriots
The Patriots entered the 2009 NFL season as the hands-on favorite to win the AFC East. Having played some great football last season in the absence of Tom Brady, a team with Brady as its QB over Matt Cassel would be even better, right? On top of that, some veteran acquisitions like Joey Galloway and Fred Taylor, both great players with storied resumes, would bring the team some additional grit, making the Patriots all the more strong in 2009.Are the NY Jets Really This Good?
After two impressive wins to begin the 2009 season, one has to wonder if the New York Jets are really as good as they might seem. While their win against the Texans could be written off as one that was somewhat expected (despite the fact that they were 5 point underdogs entering the game), no one expected them to beat the New England Patriots. Just about no one.I Can Not Believe They Cut Sutton, Smith, and Brohm!
There are a lot of things that Thompson has done that I have agreed with. For example, he has built the Packers back up to a contending team very quickly after going 4-12 only 3 seasons ago. He has also had a few gem draft picks like Greg Jennings, Nick Collins, and Aaron Rodgers. And I even agree with the way he handled the Brett Favre situation last year.Which LBs Should the Packers Keep?
In this new 3-4 defense that has looked so good in this preseason, the linebackers appear to be more important than ever because they are the ones making all the plays. I have two questions. How many linebackers will the Packers keep? And which ones will the Packers keep?Which RBs Should the Packers Keep?
I am probably behind the curve on this one, but I have not had time to research what they are saying about which running backs they will be able to keep. Obviously, Grant will be the starter. He’s no superstar, but he is definitely a legitimate starting running back in the NFL. And he is unquestionably the best running back on the Green Bay Packers.Aaron Rodgers Looking Really Good!
Aaron Rodgers is looking like he is really ready to be the true leader of the Green Bay Packers this year. In the second half a reporter interview Jason Spitz on the sidelines about Aaron. Based on his responses, it seems that he and the rest of the team are really ready to rally around him. That is the exact chemistry needed to have a big season.38-10 at Halftime! Are We Peaking at the Exact Wrong Time!?
Are you kidding me? The Packers starters looked unbelievable! However, I cannot think of a worse time to look perfect. I just hope we can keep this train moving. If they can play like this in the regular season, it is going to be a lot of fun. There will be pro-bowlers all over the place. However, preseason is seldom a good predictor of the regular season. The Packers Should Win the NFC North This Year
I am going to make a prediction before the opening game between the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears at Lambeau Field on Sunday Night Football. Most of the pundits have already announced that the Bears are a better team than the Packers because of the signing of Jay Cutler. I do not share their pessimism about the Packers.Week 1 Prediction – Bears Vs Packers at Lambeau Field
The Green Bay Packers will defeat the Chicago Bears by the score of 38-24 in the season opener tomorrow night at Lambeau Field. I do not care that the Bears have won four out of the last six games. The Bears did win the last meeting in Chicago with an overtime field goal to edge the Packers 20-17. It was just one of many gut wrenching losses that the Packers had a season ago.Packers Win 15-21! Rodgers Delivers to Jennings in Dramatic Fashion
Thank the football gods that we did not blow that game. It could not have ended any better. Aaron Rodgers is the hero and Jay Cutler is the goat. Not only did we win the game but Cutler throws four picks and his confidence takes a swift kick in the balls. Hopefully that will carry over to week two in Soldier field where the Bears face the defending Superbowl Champion Pittsburgh Steelers.
