Art of the Olympians – Al Oerter, Four-Time Olympic Gold Medalist

Al Oerter and I lived in the same town. He won the Olympic Gold Medal in discus throw, four times in a row! His daughter is in charge of constructing a museum for the display of art works by Olympians from all over the world. The museum will open later in 2008 in downtown Ft. Myers, Florida and will be named, appropriately, “Art of the Olympians.”
